24th Anniversary Fundraising Gala – Sunday, November 18, 2018

We did it!  Another new ‘Club’ record set.  Our 24th Anniversary Gala – A Fundraising night for seniors held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Radisson Hotel Richmond raised $40,000.  All proceeds to Villa Cathay Care Home.  A non-profit home with 24-hour professional nursing care.  We thank all our honored guests, generous sponsors, donors, and most of all, the hard working Gala Committee, and all our dedicated and committed members and directors who always put forth their best effort into each and every one of our challenging tasks.  – In short, all for charities.  Last but not least, with our heartfelt thanks, we thank the following Lions Clubs who participated and celebrated with Vancouver Cambie Lions Club.  What a night! Thank you SO much.  In no particular order, thank you Vancouver Arbutus Lions Club, Vancouver Broadway Lions Club, Vancouver Chinatown Lions Club, Vancouver Diamond Lions Club, Vancouver Legacy Lions Club, Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club, Vancouver Oakridge Lions Club, Vancouver Shaughnessy Lions Club, Vancouver Templeton Lions Club, Richmond Chinatown Lions Club, and Vancouver Cambie Junior Branch Lions Club. [We apologize if any omission occurs.]

Just you know we made two new club records for this party.  Most tables and most funds raised.  Feeling proud we were able to donate $7,500 to Mount Saint Joseph Hospital – St. Paul’s Foundation.

Once again, thank you very much for your kindness and support.  We look forward to seeing you at our next fun and fellowship event.  Till then,

Thank you for supporting the CCTV event on April 22!

Thank you note from President Lion Dr Vivian Lo, “I would like to thank all the VCLC members who volunteered and attended this meaningful event. We have raised app. $5000 from this event. The beneficiaries Horizons School and Villa Cathay will share the proceeds.

My sincere gratitude is extended to the volunteers coming from Vansowers Society of Education, Villa Cathay Care Home and BCCSA who spent nearly the whole day for the event. Our honorable judges, different groups of performers and the staff of the Aberdeen Centre did contribute to an important part to our success.

There were outside volunteers such as Sara, Sally, Phyllis and Davis who were our nameless hero. I likewise thank Robert and Kee for their gorgeous photos.

The last but not the least is my sincere thanks to Rachel, Marco and Michael who worked for the event devotedly. They are the hope and builder of our future.

Thank you all for your participation and support! You are my heroes!
