Igniting Hope & Building the Future: A Heartfelt Thank You!

What an incredible, inspiring evening! The Youth Charity Gala 2026, held at the beautiful Richmond Golf & Tennis Country Club, was a spectacular success. Under the powerful theme “Ignite Hope ยท Build the Future,” the evening brought together passionate young leaders and community members for an unforgettable night of connection, philanthropy, and purpose.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this elegant evening so meaningful. Thanks to your incredible generosity, the event raised vital support for three phenomenal organizations doing life-changing work in our communities:

  • Canadian Cancer Society
  • Vancouver Cambie Lions Club
  • North America Youth Foundation

Events like this remind us of the immense impact we can create when leadership meets a shared vision for good. Thank you for standing with our youth, investing in the future, and proving that together, we truly make a difference.

Donation to Canadian Cancer Society and Dog Guide

The Cambie Club presented a donation cheque of $6,300.00 to the Canadian Cancer Society with funds raised from its Golden Snake Statue fundraising project and $2,000.00 to (Dog Guides) Lions Foundation of Canada with funds raised from its charity karaoke during the installation dinner. The Cambie Lions Club continues to dedicate efforts in addressing the pressing needs of society and raising funds for various charitable organizations.

Canadian Cancer Society Telethon 2017 set on April 8

The annual CCS Telethon is here! It is scheduled for Saturday April 8 from 11am to midnight! As usual, VCLC members and volunteers will man the phone center. We need a lot of people to cover different shifts to take as many pledge calls as we can. It is going to be exciting and fun.

We did it again! On April 9, 2016, Cambie Lions and volunteers once again occupied the phone centre at Canadian Cancer Society to take pledges from all over the country. The Canadian Cancer Society event has raised over $120,000 this year!
